About
A quiet home for the poetry we inherit
Meeras is a multi-script archive of Urdu and Hindi poetry — shayari, ghazal, nazm, doha, geet and rubaai — gathered onto one calm reading surface.
Every verse can be read in three scripts — Roman, Devanagari and Nastaliq — so a couplet meets you in whichever hand you read most easily. Tap a difficult word to see its meaning in the Lughat, our living dictionary.
The collection is small and tended by hand: a few poets, their ghazals and nazms, and curated collections to wander through. It grows slowly, the way an inheritance should.
