The service

Meeras offers poetry — sher, ghazal, nazm and more — readable in Urdu, Devanagari and Roman scripts, with curated collections and a dictionary. Reading requires no account; commenting, bookmarking and submitting work do.

Accounts

Register with an email address you control, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

Comments and submissions are reviewed by moderators before they are published. You keep ownership of what you write and grant Meeras a non-exclusive right to display it across the archive's scripts and formats.

Work submissions additionally require the licence declaration and rights attestation made in the submission form. Do not submit work you have no right to share.

Acceptable use

Do not post unlawful, infringing or abusive content, attempt to disrupt or probe the service, or misuse other readers' information.

Copyright and takedown

Classical works in the archive are believed to be in the public domain; texts, attributions and translations are curated in good faith and may contain errors.

If you hold rights in a work shown here and want it corrected or removed, email the contact address above with the page link and the basis of your claim. Requests are acknowledged and acted on within the windows set by the Information Technology Rules, 2021, and content may be taken down pending review.

The service is provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Meeras is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the archive.
